A quote from the book Atlas Shrugged written by Ayn Rand: "When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing when you see money flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors when you see that men get richer by graft and pull than by work, and your laws dont protect you against them, but protect them against you when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice you may know that your society is doomed."
Minneapolis is anti business and uses tax dollars to subsidize stupidity. Since starting a business in the early 1990's I have seen many of our original manufacturing customers move or go out of business, the manufacturing jobs have not been replaced. My business property taxes have gone from about $2,000 in 1996 to over $8,000 in 2010. Manufacturing, farming and mining produce products that make the money to pay for all the other jobs. I wish we could export our City Council to China but it would cost more to ship them then they are worth.
